Identity of Arkham Knight's Batgirl revealed

After discovering that Batgirl has her own story DLC as part of Batman Arkham Knight's season pass the world has been wondering who is beneath the cowl. Well game director Sefton Hill has been happy to oblige on Twitter, revealing that she is indeed the Commissioner’s daughter, Barbara Gordon. This makes sense given that the Batgirl sequence ‘A Matter of Family’ had already been confirmed as a prequel.

However, it’s uncertain whether this will follow Barbara through the events of graphic novel The Killing Joke where she is shot and paralysed by the Joker before becoming the main game's Oracle. As the first time playing this iconic character in the Arkham games, it’s probably more likely that this story prepares for or even alters that plot line. While it's a key arc for the character it's not something easily tackled by a DLC add on.

With just over a month to go until the release of Batman Arkham Knight , Hill also teased on Twitter that two behind the scenes videos will be released in the next few days.
