Okay, so maybe this isn’t the Keanu Reeves flick we’re all eagerly panting for this year - but if A Scanner Darkly is anywhere near as good as we hope it is, then KR can nip off with Sandra Bullock and do these misty-eyed heart-twisters whenever he likes.
Alejandro Agresti helms the tale of a lonely doctor (Bullock) who reminisces about her time living in a secluded lake house and so begins corresponding with its current inhabitant, an architect (you guessed it) played by Reeves.
After some postage-stamped flirting, it becomes clear that the two lovebirds are actually living two years apart - he in 2004 and she in 2006. Now they have to try to unravel the mystery before time intervenes and robs them of a chance of happiness.
Check this out of you like ‘em weepy, people. The Lake House washes up on these shores on the 23 June. Click here to watch the trailer.
