Hollywood hard man and all-round nice guy, Vin Diesel has announced he's working on a Riddick TV series, as well as a fourth film instalment in the film franchise.
Diesel's a busy boy at the moment, with an imminent shoot for Fast & Furious 8, as well as xXx3 to film, but fans shouldn't be worried as the Riddick franchise has always been close to the actor's heart. In typical fashion, Diesel revealed the exciting news via Instagram. Check it out below...

The TV show will be called Merc City and follows a number of bounty hunters in the Riddick universe. It's safe to expect some hard-hitting action and Michael Bay-sized explosions will be present in each episode. The new movie will be called Furia and will be penned in December, so don't get your hopes up that it will be making its way into cinemas any time soon - it'll likely be the end of 2016 or even 2017.
In truth, there's not a lot of info about either project at the moment, but no doubt Diesel will share more tidbits when he can. Either way, more Riddick - in any capacity - is something to be very optimistic about.
