Sony's Bend Studio has posted a motion capture video from the production of its upcoming PS Vita launch title, Uncharted: Golden Abyss. They star Nolan North (Drake) and Richard McGonagle (Sully) doing their damndest to act out important scenes from the upcoming handheld title with nothing more than a bare room, a few sparse props, and suits with colorful crotches. The result is pretty impressive (but it may contain slight spoilers):
The scene was posted to the US PlayStation Blog by Bend's creative director, John Garvin, who said Golden Abyss's 400 page script went through 40 revisions by the time the actors get their mitts on it.
“Writing and performance capture was just beginning,” he explained, continuing, “What followed was an intense year of motion capture clean-up, animation, camera work, set building, lip-synching, prop building, editing, sound and music, by a team of over 50 artists working across five different studios.”

The fruits of Bend's labors will soon be out there for all to see, as Uncharted: Golden Abyss is slated to arrive alongside the PlayStation Vita on February 22. Learn how it will put Sony's new handheld to the test in GR's latest hands-on preview.
