Second trailer arrives online for The Worlds End: watch now

Following yesterday’s double-header of new posters , The World’s End has continued its publicity drive with the release of a new trailer. And happily, it’s rather awesome.

The new movie sees Simon Pegg undergoing a mid-life-crisis as he recruits his childhood mates to descend upon their home town, in order to have a second crack at a legendary twelve-venue pub crawl.

However, a towering hangover is the least of their problems, as they soon realise that all is not right with the residents of their once-sleepy village…

Take a look at the new trailer below, but be warned - it contains further details on the impending apocalypse, so anyone who wants to go in spoiler-free is advised to skip this and rewatch the first trailer

We particularly like the way it goes from bloke-y banter to full-on robot attack in the space of a couple of minutes, and there are some nicely awkward moments for Rosamund Pike's Sam, too. And the pouring-of-the-pints editing took us straight back to Shaun Of The Dead ...

Directed by Edgar Wright and co-starring a host of British talent including Nick Frost, Martin Freeman and Paddy Considine, The World’s End opens in the UK on 19 July 2013, before opening in the US on 23 August.
