We've all seen the pictures of a scarily-gaunt Matthew McConaughey on the set of the Dallas Buyers Club , and now we get to see him in action as a cowboy who discovers he has HIV.
An almost unrecognisable McConaughey plays Ron Woodroof, who imports and sells illegal drugs that could make life more bearable for him and other HIV sufferers.
Equally unrecognisable is Jared Leto as a fellow sufferer who also happens to be a (rather convincing) transsexual.

It's not hard to see why there's considerable Oscar buzz surrounding this one, particularly where McConaughey's concerned.
The ex-romcom king is clearly enjoying his second wind in the movie biz, and his performance as Woodroof could be the one to beat at next year's Academy Awards…
