Lego Jurassic World's first trailer spares no expense

We've played as Lego jedi, super heroes, hobbits, and more, but it's all just been leading up to this one, shining moment: Lego Jeff Goldblum. And now you can meet the future of interactive entertainment in his natural habitat, thanks to this first gameplay trailer of Lego Jurassic World.

On second thought, let's say 'in-engine' rather than 'gameplay', seeing as the minute-and-a-half long video seems includes maybe 15 seconds of actual playable stuff. But you already know how Lego games play: swap between an expanding roster of characters as you bash baddies and wreck the environment, earning more studs to buy ever more unlockables.

You're here for one thing: sight gags. I won't stand between you and the velociraptor wearing a Carmen Miranda banana hat one moment longer.

Drawing from all four Jurassic movies (sorry, no plans for Jurassic-Park-3-skipping DLC that I know of), Lego Jurassic World has plenty of moments to draw from. It's planned for release on PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in June, the same month that Jurassic World is set to hit cinemas.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games also plan to release Lego Marvel's Avengers, based on the original film and the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, in the fall.
