Jimmy Fallon playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch makes 2017 look amazing

Well Jimmy Fallon is having a better 2016 than all of us. Not only did he try out Mario's first jaunt onto mobile in Super Mario Run on last night's show, he also got to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the upcoming Nintendo Switch. The glee on Fallon's face when Nintendo America's Reggie Fils-Aime revealed the Switch from a perfectly positioned question mark box was representative of exactly how we'll feel opening that box in March.

Also worth watching (before you skip straight to 4:50 to watch Breath of the Wild in action) is the surprise appearance of Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto before Fallon tries out Super Mario Run.

This is 9 minutes of absurdly enthusiastic TV that makes 2017 look ridiculously bright and shiny for Nintendo. Add in the rumours that  Nintendo Switch will play Gamecube games and I can't wait to get my hands on Switch and see how it plays. What do you think, Miyamoto?
