Geometry Wars 3 invades the PlayStation Vita, bringing local co-op in tow

One day, we'll look back and tell our grandchildren about the Geometry Wars. About how they started small, destroying squares, triangles, circles and other basic shapes on Xbox before they eventually spread to PC and PlayStation consoles with Geometry Wars 3. "We thought the fight was over," we'll say, "And then they announced that Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions was coming to the Vita as 'Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.'" *insert Terminator theme music here*

The same studio behind the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC versions of Geometry Wars 3 will handle the port to Vita, so no worries about the game being handed off to a different team. This new version will also feature the same modes and options as its console counterparts - even local co-op is supported.

In that setup, two players hold the Vita vertically, each taking one half of the controls. One player uses the face buttons and one control stick while the other uses the d-pad and one control stick. It sounds like a definite change from the standard dual-stick control scheme for single-player, but a clever way to keep the feature in. Neat!
