First trailer for Machete Kills explodes online: watch now

Machete Kills has released a first official trailer online, and it looks every bit as trashily enjoyable as its predecessor.

Preceded by a Spanish introduction from Robert Rodriguez and Danny Trejo, the trailer wastes little time getting back to the serious business of blades, boobs and bloodshed, as the titular badass is called into action by none other than the President of the United States.

Speaking of which, you might recognise the fellow playing El Presidente… he’s a little-known actor by the name of Carlos Estevez…

Looks fun, no? This time out, Machete will be charged with stopping a wacko revolutionary and billionaire arms dealer from carrying out a fiendish plan to plunge the world into widespread warfare. All in a day’s work, eh?

Directed by Rodriguez and co-starring Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofía Vergara, Mel Gibson and many, many more, Machete Kills will open in the US on 13 September 2013, with a UK date to be confirmed.
