So, you've got Far Cry 3 for your preferred system and are ready to skin some tigers and machete some guards. Grand! Now that the purchase has been made, let us tell you that the PlayStation 3 will be the only console to receive DLC giving closure to the game's co-operative campaign.
Most folks probably didn't get the game for its co-op, but it still seems like strange timing for Sony to announce Far Cry 3's High Tides DLC landing in January. The pack includes two new chapters titled Jailbreak and Redemption, which "take place where the original six co-op chapters left off" with new missions depicting the foul-mouthed quartet's final moments.
The content is "exclusively on PS3 for console gamers," which makes it sound like PC players could also get in on the concluding chapters. That means Xbox 360 players are the only ones for sure left out in the cold.
No pricing details or specific release date were given for High Tides. Does extra co-op content influence your buying decision (or would it have if the game hadn't already released)?
