EverQuest sure has a lot of stamina. Fans of the long running MMO can look forward to the release of the series’ 18th expansion, Veil of Alaris, on November 15 with a new max level of 95, improved guild halls, 13 raids, 12 zones, over 500 new spells, and over a 100 new quests. In the meantime, Sony Online Entertainment has released a new video teasing the new Pillars of Alra zone featured in the expansion.

Described by game designer Doug Cronkhite as the center of magic, the Pillars of Alra zone takes players to new heights with a series of islands in the sky. You’ll encounter four different factions: dark, light, pure, and nature. According to SOE, each of these factions believes they have the “truest interpretation” of the Alaran god of magic’s essence. Joining Cronkhite are associate game designer Chris Black and environment artist Alan Bond. Find out what they have to say as they take you on a quick tour through the new zone and check out some additional screenshots of the upcoming expansion in our gallery below.
