Benedict Cumberbatch is the Sorcerer Supreme in new Doctor Strange concept art

Chatter about Doctor Strange has been surprisingly quiet since the first poster and trailer dropped online back in April, but that will likely change in a big way with San Diego Comic-Con next week. Before then however, Marvel have debuted some new concept art of Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme (via Entertainment Weekly), and you can check it out below...

Cumberbatch also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the similarities between the personalities of Stephen Strange and his version of Sherlock Holmes; "These two men are intelligent. Stephen Strange is a lover, he's a materialist, he's arrogant, but he's got a great sense of humor. There are smatterings of the same colours that Sherlock has, but he's not on the spectrum".

I'm really intrigued to see how much Doctor Strange info and footage Marvel reveal at San Diego Comic-Con next week. The Sorcerer Supreme isn't as well-known as some of their other properties, so knowing Marvel the event will probably just be the start of an aggressive marketing campaign. We'll find out soon enough...

Directed by Scott Derickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen, Doctor Strange is released in UK cinemas on October 28, 2016 before opening in US theatres on November 4, 2016.
