Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch notes: New skills, more fish, and automatic PS5 Trophies

The next set of Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch notes are here with a new set of skills as well as game fixes and framework for the next expansion.

Since the Wrath of the Druids DLC won't go live until May 13, the biggest new feature in the update is the addition of three recharging skills, each of which help turn Eivor into an unflinching murder machine: Cold Rage, which lets you ignore hit interruptions in melee; Eye of the North, which prevents flinching while aiming your bow, and Intense Rage, which lets you ignore hit interruptions while performing an off-hand parry or special attack.

The fauna of Valhalla get theirs in the update as well, with previously missing fish species now populating their proper parts of the world. Animals will also remain on camera once you begin dialogue with an NPC, opening up a world of photobombing possibilities. For the Trophy hounds out there (OK, that animal connection was a stretch) you'll now automatically unlock all trophies on PS5 that you earned on PS4.

The update will start rolling out to all platforms on Tuesday, April 27, and here's how much space you'll need depending on where you're playing (you don't need to worry about this kind of stuff if you're playing on Google Stadia or Amazon Luna).

Ubisoft says it's slowing down the cadence of Valhalla updates to allow for more thorough testing.
