Tweets Of The Week

Sci-fi celebs selling themselves off for charity dominated streams this week

If there’s one thing celebs do well it’s make money, and it seems many may have underestimated the power of the geek dollar in the TwitChange auction, as sci-fi celebs are trouncing their boring old non-genre “competition”. The online auction, which opened the floor to bids last week is raising money for aHomeinHaiti.org and counts a number of sci-fi stars auctioning off their bods (or maybe it’s just a mention on Twitter, we weren’t really paying attention to the details) among its ranks, including @nathanfillion , @neilhimself , @feliciaday , @jumblejim , @iansomerhalder , @elizadushku and Iron Man director @Jon_Favreau . Geek heroes @davidblue and @jewelstaite are doing surprisingly well, but at the time of writing it’s everyone’s favourite (American) Converse sporting sci-fi icon who’s jostling for the top spot: @ZacharyLevi : “So @ danawhite has taken the lead again in the @ twitchange auction. I know this isn't a competition, but who are we kidding, I'm competitive.” That's the spirit!
