This working Lego pinball machine beats all the best new Lego sets in July 2026, no questions asked
Ranking our favorite kits of the month
If you make a fully-functional Lego pinball machine, I have no choice but to put you at the top of my list for the best new Lego sets in July 2026. I mean, how can you argue with that? Supercars and symbiotes are cool, but a nifty retro throwback whose party tricky is that it actually works? Yeah, sorry. There's no winning against a stunt like that.
It's a quieter month for the toy-maker (especially compared to the deluge of new Lego sets in June 2026), but this isn't to say we're lacking in cool releases. The three best new Lego sets in July 2026 prove that, with the reimagining of a classic alongside a hyper-accurate megacar with all the bells and whistles a gearheads could want. That last one rivals the best Lego sets for ambition, in any case.
A handful of new Lego sets are hitting shelves this month, so I've narrowed that down to my absolute favorites here. However, you can get a complete rundown of everything else launching in July further down the page.
Editor's choice
This pinball replica certainly looks the part, and its retro theming makes it feel like a slice of the '70s or '80s for your shelf. But what makes it really stand out is the simple fact that it actually works. Yep, that's right; this 2,274-piece kit isn't just a replica. It's a working pinball machine, putting it head and shoulders above the competition in terms of party tricks. If you're a Lego Insider, you can order it from July 1 rather than having to wait.

This 4,104-piece behemoth is an example of everything Technic does well. Hyper-focused attention to detail? Check. Cool but unnecessary interactive features? For sure. Whether it's the V8 piston engine or a ghost mode that sees "the doors and front hood sweep open in one smooth movement," this is an intricate piece de resistance. It's out on July 4, but Lego Insiders can grab it from July 1.

We've had Lego models of the Lambda-Class Shuttle before, and the last one (from 2021) was pretty great. However, this 961-piece upgrade improves on the formula with larger wings and a cockpit that doesn't have a weird underbite. It feels like the most accurate playset-scale version we've had to date, and comes with some rarely-seen minifigs like Moff Gideon... not to mention the first ever Dr. Pershing Lego model.

Yes, this is a cool kit - but the thing that makes it stand out is the fact that it's an actually working pinball machine. How awesome is that? While it's technically available from July 4, Lego Insiders (e.g. those who sign up to the Lego store's free membership) can grab it from July 1.

Marvel
If you're a fan of the Tom Hardy Venom movies, I've got good news; a bust of his symbiote is part of the roundup of new Lego sets in July 2026, complete with a teeny Venom minifigure too.

Star Wars
It's been a hot minute since we last had a Lego Lambda-Class Shuttle, and even though this newcomer has a lot in common with the previous version that dropped in 2021, it's a more refined take in general.

Technic
Now that F1 is on our screens again, Lego's back with a luxurious new Technic set which uses just over 1,500 pieces to depict the supercar in all its glory. While it's not as detailed as other full-size models, I'd say it still does its inspiration justice.
UK: £199.99 at Lego
This absolute monster is an example of just how over-the-top detailed Technic cars can be. Even though it's not out until July 4 for most people, Lego Insiders (e.g. those with a free sign-in on the store) can get it from July 1.

So long as you're quick, you can get this as a free Gift With Purchase when buying the Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar set while stocks last. It boasts a cool feature where the speedometer stays level regardless of how you move the wheel, just like the real thing.

I've been writing about games in one form or another since 2012, but these days you'll find me managing GamesRadar+'s tabletop gaming and toy coverage (I spend my time here handling everything from board game reviews to the latest Lego news). I've also been obsessed with Warhammer since the 1990s, and love nothing more than running tabletop RPGs like D&D as a Dungeon Master.
