Toby Jones is one of the original ensemble confirmed for a return in superhero sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier , and has given a little briefing as to what we can expect from his character in the new film.
Jones plays Arnim Zola, the Nazi scientist who assisted the Red Skull in the first film, but it sounds as though he’ll be appearing in a very different form in the sequel...
"All I can say about it is that I was pleased to be brought back," says Jones. "I thought I might be - because you'd know better than I do - but Zola finds a way to defeat time, and you won't be disappointed with the way that's been treated in the film."
Sounds like we could be about to see Zola in his more famous form, with his consciousness transferred into a robotic body. That’s yet to be confirmed of course, but we’d hazard a guess that that’s the aspect of “defeating time” Jones is referring to.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and co-starring Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier will open in the UK on 4 April 2014.
