Third Time Bloody

Clearly, moviegoers can’t get enough of the deadly games played by Jigsaw. Thanks to a combined worldwide box office of more than $250 million for the previous two Saw movies, the Clown-masked torturer will return for a third outing.

US distributor Lionsgate and production company Twisted Pictures have thrown a third Saw film into early development. Saw II helmer Darren Lynn Bousman will direct it.

Leigh Whannell has already penned the script and, while it’s too early to talk plot, the producers say that the film will feature "fresh, terrifying and unimaginable new twists” for the series. And in true, speedy style, the film is already planned for an October release Stateside.
