The Hangover gets a less lady but nonetheless derivative Irish spin in this amiable is inessential comedy.
Andrew Scott (aka TV Sherlock ’s Moriarty) is the main draw here as a best man organising a camping-trip stag do for his best mate, but who secretly holds a candle for the bride – his ex.
Not a bad premise, but there’s a feeling of a missed opportunity, especially given the potential of the macho/non-macho divide in the stag group’s characters.
It’s impossible to hate a film where the cast is so game, but you may struggle to remember it the morning after.
