LucasArts is making an expansion pack for Star Wars Battlefront II available for download on Xbox Live which will include four extra maps, new gameplay modes and two new characters.
Rather than being brand new, the four extra maps are Cloud City on Bespin, the Harbor and Citadel at Rhen Var and the Arena at Yavin 4, all of which appeared in the original Battlefront game. All these maps will now feature Conquest, Capture the Flag and Hero Free-for-All modes, with the Harbor map also containing a Hunt Wampa mode.
The two new characters are both Jedi but representing different sides of the Force. First up is Kit Fisto a bug eyed Jedi with huge flesh dreadlocks who appeared in the huge arena based fight on Geonosis in Episode II.
Representing the Dark side is Asaij Ventress who hasn't appeared in any of the films but she has shown up with her unique fibrecord-linked lightsabers in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoons.
The Star Wars Battlefront II Expansion Pack will be available for download from 31 January and will cost $5 (around £3)

With several new modes per map, you can challenge your friends to team battles on Bespin (Cloud City), Yavin 4 (Arena) or Rhen Var (Harbor and Citadel). All new maps feature Conquest, Capture the Flag and Hero Free-For-All modes, with the Harbor map also containing a Hunt wampa mode.
Also in this expansion pack, download two new heroes to fight with anytime and anywhere in the Star Wars Battlefront II arena. You will be able to exert your dominance as Kit Fisto or Asajj Ventress. Kit Fisto made his mark in Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones as one of the hundreds of Jedi led by Mace Windu to free the captive Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala on Geonosis. Asajj Ventress is best known for her thrilling duel with Anakin Skywalker on Yavin 4 in the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars. Asajj wields a new special breed of weapon: fibercord-linked lightsabers.
Bespin is a planet with endless clouds and houses Cloud City, the one-time home of Lando Calrissian. Yavin 4 is a jungle moon orbiting the planet Yavin, and is the location of the first major victory of the Rebel Alliance. Rhen Var lies in the midst of an ice age, with icy plains, brutal tundra and glacier-carved mountains as part of its landscape.
To access this Xbox Live downloadable content, select the multiplayer menu option from the main menu on your Battlefront II disc. Once you are connected to Xbox Live, select Downloadable Content.
