Seth Rogen has been discussing progress on the forthcoming sequel to frat house comedy, Neighbors, which will see the introduction of a new sorority house into the mix. The main development is a shiny new title, although whether the studio will let Rogen keep it remains to be seen.
“Neighbors 2 is going great!” says Rogen to Collider. “Right now we’re calling it Sorority Rising until the studio tells us not to. I think that’s a good… whatever you call the thing that goes after the colon. And that’s what it’s about.” Very well said, sir.
Zac Efron will be back, while said sorority will be headed up by new addition Chloe Grace Moretz. Meanwhile, Rogen is also working on the TV adaptation of Preacher, and couldn’t be more positive about how that one is developing over at AMC.
“It’s been amazing, honestly. AMC’s been very open and not restrictive of the things we wanted to do, and we pushed it pretty hard as we generally do. There’s definitely been some conversations here and there, but ultimately they’ve let us do exactly what we wanted, which has been incredible. Literally you can’t say the F word, but other than that, we’ve pretty much been given complete free range.” The new show will air in 2016.
