After a few races, you find yourself looking for the best bits of track. You want to avoid that puddle, so you take a sharper line to avoid it… only next time round, your tire tracks have filled with water, so another approach might be better. Hit smooth mud instead of the cut-in trench and you’ll understeer badly. And driving over virgin snow is one of the most joyous pleasures next-gen racing can offer.
