Funny-man and Hot Tub Time Machine star Rob Corddry is currently in talks to play the role of a self-aware zombie in Warm Bodies .
Warm Bodies is the latest project from Jonathan Levine, director of the upcoming 50/50 , starring Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
An adaptation of the Isaac Marion novel, Warm Bodies will star Nicholas Hoult as R, an independent-thinking corpse who shares the memories of a young boy after consuming his brain.
This leads him to form a bond with the boy’s (living) girlfriend, played by Teresa Palmer. As he protects her from the other zombies, he slowly regains humanity.
Variety reports that Corddry is in line for the role of M, the only other zombie to be as emotionally advanced as R (at least when the story beings anyway...)
Final negotiations are taking place, but it looks like Corddry is pretty set to join the coming horde.
Warm Bodies is currently in pre-production and has no official release date as yet, but it should see cinemas sometime next year.
