Racist! A look at games accused of bigotry

Pokemon
In an article titled "Politically Incorrect Pokemon," African-American author Carole Boston Weatherford accused the pokemon Jynx of being a racist stereotype, describing the pocket monster as "an overweight drag queen incarnation of Little Black Sambo, a racist stereotype from a children's book long ago purged from libraries... At the close of the 20th century, how could Japanese computer animators unleash such a culturally insensitive menace on the global marketplace?" You can read Weatherford's article in its entiretyhere.

As a result of Weatherford's criticism, Nintendo subsequently changed the color of Jynx's face from black to purple, while episodes of the anime featuring the offending Jynx were either edited or banned in the United States.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
