PlayStation Network 2011 Gamer's Choice Awards voting begins Feb 22

If you have strong feelings about the downloadable PS3 games that were released over the last year, then let your voice be heard in Sony's 2011 PSN Gamer's Choice awards.

Between February 22 and March 1, players will be able to vote on the best PS3 downloadable game, best PSP downloadable game, the best "mini" downloadable game, and the best downloadable game that was exclusive to the PlayStation Store.

The nominees were just announced, and here they are:

Best PS3 Downloadable Game:
Castle Crashers,
Costume Quest
Death Spank
PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game

Best PSP Downloadable Game:
God of War: Ghost of Sparta
Lunar Silver Star Harmony
Phantasy Star Portable 2
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable
Valkyria Chronicles II

Best PS3/PSP MINI:
A Space Shooter for Two Bucks
Age of Zombies
Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess
Vector TD
Young Thor

Best PlayStation Network Exclusive Game:
Dead Nation
Hustle Kings
Joe Danger
Sam & Max Ep. 1
Soldner-X2

And how, exactly will you vote? By checking a box? Psh! That 'aint very Sony! To vote, you'll need to download the game's corresponding theme, and ta-da, your vote is cast.

And, other than the theme, what do you have to gain by taking the time to vote? Well, aside from recognizing the games you like the most, the winning games in each category will be offered on the PlayStation Store at a 30% discount for regular members, and a 50% discount to PlayStation Plus members. Of course, if you vote for a game, it probably means you already own it... but at least you can make it easier for someone else to enjoy.

Again, voting begins on February 22nd, so you still have a week to mull over your decisions.
