In competitive gaming every frame matters. Esports athletes need the best hardware to unlock their maximum potential. Research has shown that at higher refresh rates and frame rates - including 360Hz refresh rates - players are better at aiming tasks leading to higher game scores and a competitive edge which can make the difference for a tournament victory. This knowledge drove NVIDIA to lead the display ecosystem to build its NVIDIA® G-SYNC® displays specifically engineered to meet the demands of Esports players.

NVIDIA invented G-SYNC six years ago to solve an age-old problem in PC gaming - tearing, stutter, and input lag. G-SYNC technology dynamically matches the refresh rate of the monitor to the frame rate output of the GPU resulting in tear-free, buttery-smooth gameplay with minimum input lag. Today, G-SYNC displays range in size and price for every budget, while incorporating the latest technologies and features that deliver award-winning image quality and performance.

New 360Hz G-SYNC Esports displays, smash the previous monitor refresh record by 1.5x. The latest G-SYNC processor is the heart of the display delivering cutting-edge technologies including Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB), Variable Rate Refresh (VRR),  Varrible Overdrive, and much more. It drives a high-speed, quick response time 1920x1080 panel from AU Optronics at up to 360Hz resulting in a significant reduction in frametime and staggering improvement in input latency. NVIDIA has partnered with leading display manufacturers Dell, Acer, Asus, and MSI to bring 360Hz G-SYNC Esports displays to market. These monitors are built from the ground-up for professional gamers, so they are perfect for anyone that takes their playtime seriously.

What’s more, for those that want the latest display tech, NVIDIA has partnered with ASUS and Acer on two new G-SYNC ULTIMATE displays featuring the latest mini-LED technology, 1152 full array backlight zones, 1400 nits peak brightness and DCI-P3 color. These displays tout 4K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate and deliver a stunning HDR gaming experience. Keep an eye out, they are expected to be available in the autumn.

Finally, NVIDIA’s G-SYNC Compatible program offers gamers even more choice when searching for a great gaming display. G-SYNC Compatible program expands the G-SYNC ecosystem and aims to bring consistency and educate consumers on which displays will provide a good entry-level variable refresh rate (VRR) experience.

Under the G-SYNC Compatible program, NVIDIA works with monitor OEMs to validate the experience on monitors that support the AdaptiveSync protocol. Those that pass are designated as “G-SYNC Compatible”. For a full listing of G-SYNC Compatible displays, please click here
