Konami's twitter feed has been filling out some info on MGS 5 (opens in new tab)'s Metal Gear Online component, mainly about customisation and gear. Here's the short version of all the new stuff:
• There's different gear parts which can be customised and mixed.
• You can change preset colour and patterns.
• Gear doesn't affect stats.
• There will be classes, and some gear is class specific.
• There's no open world co-op (this has been mentioned before).
• You can't unlock online gear in single player.
Interestingly, most questions were answered but one about being able to play as a female soldier was left conspicuously untouched.
As mentioned, we have a little bit of info to share on MGO tonight, many of you have had questions about the gear customizationJuly 21, 2015
