Today it was announced that Logan’s Run , which is set to begin filming next year, has hired a new writer.
Andrew Baldwin, who penned 2008 Black List script The West Is Dead , has been brought onto the project to redraft the current script.
Ryan Gosling has already been confirmed to play Michael York’s character Logan. Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn will occupy the director’s chair.
The pair previously collaborated on hit pulp-thriller Drive , and are set to work together again on Bangkok Thai-boxing drama Only God Forgives .
Alex Garland ( 28 Days Later, Sunshine ) and Will Beall ( Gangster Squad ) have both already contributed to the current script.
As of yet, the film has no provisional release date, though production is unlikely to get underway until Only God Forgives has wrapped.
