Lego Star Wars returns

LucasArts has announced Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, transforming A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi into fantastically charming episodes of Legoplatforming action.

This time around players can drive vehicles, ride creatures like the Tauntaun, and unlock more than 50 characters to use in Free Play; over 50 more can be unlocked by using an old save game from the original Lego Star Wars. You can even mix and match the different body parts of your characters to create a unique Lego Star Wars hero.

We're especially looking forward to detonating the first Death Star, fighting the Rancor monster, and Luke's final showdown with the psychotic Emperor, all in wonderfully realized Lego-vision. Don't click away, as we'll have the first screens very soon.
