Knock Off review

A bunch of renegade Russians infiltrate the Hong Kong garment market. Their plan? To sew tiny bombs into imitation designer gear and then ship it to the States to blow evil capitalist dogs to pieces. Gee! I wonder why the KGB never thought of that one?

Who can save America from the greatest trouser explosion since JFK dated Marilyn Monroe? Step forward Jean-Claude Van Damme, the only rag trade supremo capable of taking out a room full of killer Russkies with his bare hands.

Yet again dragging the good name of action movies through the mud, JCVD's latest is more stitch-up than knock off. This humourless mess makes the halcyon days of Bloodsport and Kickboxer seem like ancient history.
