Kate Winslet and Slumdog Millionaire were the big winners at the Golden Globes last night.
Totalfilm.com’s man in LA was reporting live from Hollywood last night, a night in which Bruce Springsteen picked up a gong for Best Original Song (from The Wrestler) and Wall-E nabbed Best Animated Film (no real shock there, then).
Brits scored well, with Sally Hawkins grabbing Best Actress (Comedy/Musical) for Happy-Go-Lucky and Kate Winslet breaking her gong curse with two awards- Best Supporting Actress Award for The Reader and Best Actress for Revolutionary Road.
She thanked her family and colleagues in an emotional speech, while Slumdog Millionaire snatched Best Film (Drama), Best Director and Best Screenplay.
Finally, most heart-warming and saddest moment of the night had to go to Chris Nolan’s acceptance speech on behalf of Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight.
