There’s been a lot of talk recently about Marvel announcing Iron Man 2 without anyone really consulting Jon Favreau, or even reaching out to him to start making a deal to direct.
Looks like the fan hysteria that greeted the news has gotten to the company: when IESB.net tracked him down at the Hellboy II premiere, Favreau revealed that Marvel was engaging with him to get the sequel going. While he admits that it’s going to be a “wind sprint” to get it done in time for the 2010 release date, it seems like everybody’s finally getting on board to make this thing happen. Get all the digits you have available and cross them now – we want this to work out…
