A bunch of screenshots and artwork have popped up on Japanese gaming site Famitsu and are spreading across the internet like cheerleader-fueled wildfire (that's the hottest kind, fact fans). The whole world is (probably) about to become very envious of what the Japanese game-buying public can look forward to in the Premium Edition of Lollipop Chainsaw, the new cheerleader vs zombies slash-'em-up from Suda 51.

Wanna see some pictures? Sure thing. First of all, here are the two versions of the cover art:

Above: That disembodied head is her boyfriend. Just so we're clear. Also, lollipops!

You may like
  • Key art showing Romeo from Romeo is a Dead Man wearing a robotic helmet Suda51 says "game development for us is almost like playing a jam session at a live concert", and the electric action of Romeo is a Dead Man has me ready to rock
  • A zombie and a cool grunge girl sit on pink pillows Devil May Cry vets are making a zombie action game that smacks of Lollipop Chainsaw
  • Lords of the Fallen 2 crusader uses holy magic on undead Lords of the Fallen 2 boss says "yes," the Soulslike will feature sexy ladies in an effort to "continue improving"

So that's Miss Juliet Starling. She normally wears her cheerleader's uniform. You'd think that would be enough for teenaged males, wouldn't you? But no - there's this selection of alternative costumes too, which varies depending on which version of the game you buy:

Above: Were your eyes drawn to it too? Her scrunchies remain the same across the set

That one on the right is not limited to the Premium Edition - it apparently will be in both. As will another new outfit that's destined for the standard version too. Hey - you want to see Juliet as a Bunny Girl, don't you? Eh? EH?

Above: Oh...

Not quite what we were expecting, but never mind. We're sure all of the above is going to make it across to our 360s and PS3s at some point, if not in a special edition then as DLC later down the line. Sadly, when we asked Warner Bros' UK PR company, they said these pictures were nothing to do with them. So for now we'll have to assume that the limited edition content is just for Japan. Don't worry - when the regular content looks as good as this...

Above: Go Juliet!

...we're not too concerned. There's not much else to say, really, except: "OK, you've sold it to us - please can we please buy it now, please?" If you want more, then you'll find a whole load of new screenshots in this handy gallery. Don't worry, there are plenty of Juliet in there after the scary people:

Incidentally, if you're after more of Juliet or just cheerleaders in general, we highly recommend you stop by our Top 7 Cheerleaders feature.
