Ever wondered what The Tree Of Life might look like if David Lynch and Charlie Kaufman drew it with stickmen?

Animation legend Don Hertzfeldt (Google Rejected if you don’t know the name) combines three shorts to make his masterpiece – a tragi-comic rumination on beauty, pain and life… all doodled on screwed-up paper.

Hertzfeldt narrates the story of Bill, a man whose mental disorder is crumpling his universe into a jumble of invented memories, multiple exposures and home movies.

An existential flipbook and a heartbreaking black joke: stickmen have never looked so alive.
