Wes Anderson's stop motion adaptation of Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox is gearing up for it's UK release on 23 October, and after seeing the trailers and chatting with Wes in our recent issue, we're very excited about it.
Just when we thought we couldn't possibly get more excited, this morning The Guardian got hold of a track contributed to the Mr Fox soundtrack by none other than Mr Britpop himself, Jarvis Cocker.
This is as far from his Pulp heyday as he may succeed in venturing however, with a stripped down accompaniment of a banjo and some weird springy noises, the song is strangly infectious, and features some of his most brilliant wordplay yet. If 'doodle dum' and 'yappy yo' count as wordplay.
We love it.
