If last week's Prime Day offers have taught me anything it's that it's tough to find even the best gaming laptops with more than 16GB RAM on the discount shelves these days. Imagine my surprise, then, when one of my favorites turned up in Best Buy's 4th of July sales - with not only the full 32GB but an RTX 5070 Ti GPU in tow.
The machine in question is the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, a jack-of-all-trades rig that just wants to run your games well and show them off on a premium OLED display, without bulking out your backpack or constricting its components with a super slimline design. At $300 off, we're looking at $1,899.99 for this configuration at Best Buy (was $2,199.99). These days, that's a pretty solid rate.
This is a particularly low price for an RTX 5070 Ti machine with 32GB RAM in 2026. Best Buy only has a handful of gaming laptops with that GPU for less cash on its shelves, and they all halve your memory. For $100 less you can pick up the Asus ROG Strix G16 (16GB RAM and a sacrifice in display resolution, panel type, and speed). The MSI Vector is slightly cheaper still, at $1,779.99 - again with only 16GB RAM and a drop down to a 144Hz FHD+ IPS panel.
The Acer Nitro Slim is the cheapest of the bunch (at $1,599.99), but drops you all the way down to 512GB of storage with that 16GB memory and display drop.

Newegg's looking pretty similar, with only lesser-known brand Hasee offering an RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop with 32GB RAM for less than this Acer Predator price point.
Value's certainly on Best Buy's side in this week's cheap gaming laptop deals, then, but is the Helios Neo right for you?
I tested this exact RTX 5070 Ti configuration, albeit with a little extra storage, so my testing benchmarks provide plenty of insight into how this 16-incher will perform in the real world. Spoiler: It's pretty tasty.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI keeps pace with slimmer RTX 5080 machines like the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 and Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 from my testing pool. While it couldn't quite keep to 60fps in Cyberpunk 2077 across QHD+ benchmarks, you'll only need a few minor graphical tweaks to keep those numbers steady. Lighter titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Horizon Zero Dawn: Remastered, however, are rock solid. You'll have no problems in FHD resolution either, Cyberpunk is still well over 60fps here.
