The world of the best gaming keyboards has shifted slightly in the last few weeks, with the arrival of the Corsair Clipper Pro Mini 60. It's been the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini on top of the 60% food chain for the last year, but with Sneki's rattly form factor, higher MSRP, and fewer switch features, Corsair's just managed to sneak into the lead once again.
I've just spent the last two weeks testing the 60% deck, running it across my current daily play roster as well as more dedicated tests in Apex Legends and CS2. It's been in pride of place on my desk, right next to the Huntsman it would ultimately replace on my top-rated list.
Is it perfect? No. The Clipper exhibits some spacebar scratches and its stabilizers are mounted too awkwardly for an easy fix. Its casing isn't quite as luxurious as you'll find elsewhere on the market either. For $99.99 (considering most gaming-branded HE decks start at around $140)? It's looking pretty solid in 2026.
The Corsair Clipper Pro Mini 60 comes in cheaper than most mainstream Hall effect keyboards and yet still builds on the traditional magnetic feature package with some tricks of its own while feeling and sounding fantastic under the fingertips.

The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro has held the position of best 60% gaming keyboard for just under a year now. I was originally impressed by its slick analog switches, the joystick-like movement they can provide on WASD, and its easy application of dual-step actuation to keep those arrow keys in play.
Yes, Corsair sacrifices that joystick experience in favor of more traditional Hall effect clackers, but it's also packing its own extra switch actuation features into the package. Smart Tap was the one I found myself using most often.
While the best Hall effect keyboards can regularly assign different functions depending on how far down the switch stem you've travelled, this feature allows for different inputs based on whether a key is tapped or held. It's measuring the duration of your keypress rather than distance you've pushed in a way that's far easier to control in the heat of battle. It's also how I used Corsair's magnetic switches (a newer version, the MGX Hyperdrive Cores) to keep those arrow buttons in action.
Having to rely on dual function controls for arrow keys always put me straight off 60% decks. Between productivity and gaming, it just seemed like too big a sacrifice when 65% options could sit just as neatly on a desk. With magnetic clackers at the helm, all is well in the world again.
If you weren't already in the market for a 60% gaming keyboard, that smaller form factor is going to make itself known. Losing access to your number pad could be a if you're used to having one (in which case I'd recommend the Keychron V6 Max for a similarly priced mechanical option or the Corsair Vanguard Pro 96 to keep those magnetic clackers).
Those regularly throwing on Spotify while working or gaming might also run into trouble with the lack of dedicated playback and volume buttons. They're still on here, but you'll need to make use of the function key to get there. If you still want that compact form factor, the Asus ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is actually my go-to. This is a 65% model, so you're still maintaining a small footprint on the desk, but it comes with neatly built-in dedicated media controls along the top edge.
