GameSir is going all in on the G7 Pro controller with a new carry case, Zenless Zone Zero tie-in, and an upcoming 8K model to rival Razer
It's going to be a big year for the GameSir G7 Pro
As it slowly phases out its most PlayStation-reminiscent product, GameSir seems to be going all in on its flagship Xbox Series X controller in 2026. In the space of a week, multiple updates have come in about GameSir's G7 Pro, which launched in mid-2025. It's now getting a new carrying case accessory, swappable thumbsticks, a special edition skin, and later in the year, an Aimlabs 8K version.
First up, let's look at that special edition skin, which is a tie-in with the free-to-play anime action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero. This edition comes in at the G7 Pro's most expensive price yet - even more so than the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers model ($99.99). A price of $129.99 at Amazon is quite the departure from the $79.99 cost of the regular colorways, but it's still comfortably under the $200 price most officially licensed Xbox controllers ship for.
GameSir G7 Pro ZZZ Special Edition | $129.99 at Amazon
Unlike the upcoming Aimlabs version I'll mention in a sec, the ZZZ Special Edition really is just a skin for the GameSir G7 Pro. It comes with a matching charging stand too, and gives you much punchier designs on the face buttons.
This isn't the only special edition version of the GameSir G7 Pro that the brand has plans for, though. At CES, it showed off an upcoming Aimlabs 8K model designed for PC. We don't have a price or release date for it yet, but it looks to be in the works for later this year, if teaser trailers and social posts from the brand are anything to go by.
This would be only the second 8K polling PC controller to hit the shelves, with the first being a modified version of the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro. Similar to Razer's pro pad, GameSir is stripping its 8K model of any official Xbox licensing, and I really hope that doesn't mean GameSir also strips out the G7 Pro's rumble feedback like Razer did.
A recent social post showed someone at GameSir using this version of the pad in Gryo mode, hitting up Aimlabs to get their "daily practice" in. Like I say, we don't have a release date or price yet, but unless GameSir is planning to charge the same $200 price as the Wolverine V3 Pro 8K, the Aimlabs G7 Pro would become the most affordable, fastest polling TMR controller to date.
And as if that wasn't enough, topping both special editions of the controller off is a new carrying case, which is available for all current and future owners of the G7 Pro. Annoyingly, it seems to be exclusively available at GameSir's website and doesn't look as though it'll be included as standard with future purchases of the controller.
The carrying case will set you back $19.99 at GameSir or $15.99 if you're shopping in the UK. It's available in two colorways, which add their own unique textures to the case's surface. The Black version is a more standard weave, while the Silver version has more of a metallic shine with a smoother surface.
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
Inside the case are three lots of swappable thumbsticks for the G7 Pro, including a taller set for more accuracy while aiming. This was something I felt was missing from the G7 Pro at launch, but when GameSir is pretty much the only brand in the Xbox controller market not charging a $200 premium for its flagship pads, I don't necessarily blame the company for reserving this as an add-on purchase that still keeps the total investment well under that of Razer, Turtle Beach, or Nacon.

One neat trick of the G7 Pro case is that, like the DualSense Edge's case, you can charge the controller while it's in there with a clever port built into the snug fit of the hold-all.
All of these updates to the Xbox-flavoured G7 Pro come as stock of GameSir's Tarantula Pro controller starts to wane. The brand's PS4-reminiscent controller was silently discontinued late in 2025, but this is the first time I've really started to notice a lack of availability. Interestingly, in the comments for the announcement trailer of the 8K G7 Pro, one comment which has received a like from the official GameSir channel asks "When's [the] Tarantula Pro successor?"

One of my earliest memories is playing SuperMario64 and wondering why the controller I held had three grips, but I only had two hands. Ever since I've been in love with video games and their technology. After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Journalism, I contributed to the Scottish Games Network and completed an Editorial Internship at Expert Reviews. Over the last decade, I’ve been managing my own YouTube channel about my love of games too. These days, I'm one of the resident hardware nerds at GamesRadar+, and I take the lead on our coverage of gaming PCs, VR, controllers, gaming chairs, and content creation gear. Now, I better stop myself here before I get talking about my favourite games like HUNT: Showdown, Dishonored, and Towerfall Ascension.
