Sure, GPUs are expensive, but this RTX 5060 pre-built PC is available for under $1,000, with some extra perks thrown in
Unfortunately, I'm not able to bring you the good news that GPUs are finally affordable again. But I am able to bring you the slightly-okay news that one specific GPU is... if you buy it as part of a pre-built PC.
Over on Newegg, we're currently seeing a fair few Prime Day-rivalling discounts, as part of its FantasTech sale. These include, usefully for you, $900 off an AOACE Gaming PC featuring an RTX 5060 GPU, as well as several other reduced rigs that you may want to check out.
AOACE Gaming PC, Ryzen 7, RTX 5060 | $1,899.99 $999.99 at Newegg
Save $900 - A discount of 47% isn't the only reason to consider this greatly-reduced pre-built PC. Newegg is also throwing in a $40 gift card with purchases, which you can put towards accessories, a monitor or anything else you'd like.
Usually, you're looking at around $400 for an RTX 5060 alone, so you're getting the entire package for a reasonably affordable price. The other specs include 32GB RAM, 1TB built-in storage, Windows 11 Home built in and a WiFi 6E chip.
The DDR4 storage may be to blame or thank for the low price, because it's slower than the current DDR5 standard and this will have a knock-on effect on certain games. But you're probably looking at an RTX 5060 PC if you don't need the absolute top amount of power anyway.
In case the AOACE deal sells out, there's another one here, which offers similar specs but a different CPU.
ABS Cyclone Aqua Gaming PC, i5-14400F, RTX 5060 | $1,399.99 $997 at Newegg
Save $403 - To get the lowest price here, you'll combine Newegg's 25% discount with an extra 5% reduction, which can be achieved by using the promo code DREAMBUILD5 at the checkout.
Should you buy an RTX 5060 pre-built?
You've probably heard all about how expensive GPUs are right now, and that's no word of a lie. So $1,000 for a fully-functioning gaming PC is something worth paying attention to.
This isn't a top-end gaming rig, and it's best suited to new PC gamers who want something solid that'll last a few years. The 50XX series from Nvidia is its latest one, but the XX60 models are the lowest-end ones; the use of DDR4 also means you won't get the very best speeds.
That doesn't mean it's a budget piece of tech, though, and you'll see loads of years of use out of the GPU (especially if you treat it right).
Compared to some years, Newegg's range of discounted pre-built PCs isn't huge, so if an RTX 5060-toting model is right for you, one of these could be the perfect pick.
We're monitoring all kinds of Prime Day PC deals to help you keep on top of the discounts from various retailers. If you need suggestions of which rigs to buy, we also have a round-up of the best gaming PCs worth considering.
