The Waking the Grid quest in Arc Raiders is one set in the Spaceport map, where Shani sends you out to trigger several security measures in pursuit of understanding some issue with the sensors. There are some good rewards for completing this quest, including some Epic loot, and it's not particularly challenging if you have a strong sense of the key locations and where to go. Having done the quest myself, I'll lay out in our walkthrough where you need to go, and what the major objective requirements are for this quest.
Arc Raiders Waking the Grid walkthrough
There are three parts to the Waking the Grid quest, all of which need to be completed in a single expedition:
- Activate the security sensors in one of the guard towers
- Start the security control center in the Departure Building
- Search for any traces of a security breach in the Arrival Building Data Office
There's no mandatory combat here if you're equipped to sneak around enemies, but I still would come with at least a solid loadout. Spaceport's long sight lines between buildings can be very dangerous and make it difficult to sneak around with guaranteed safety.

The first objective in Waking the Grid is to activate the security sensors in one of the guard towers. There are multiple guard towers around the map, the square concrete buildings set into the walls around the edge of the of the main port area, and any of them will work.
Head inside the tower and use the zipline to reach the room at the top, where there'll be a console you can interact with: that's the Security Sensor.
Departure Building security control center location
The next objective is to start the security control center in the Departure Building. The Departure Building itself isn't hard to find, a high loot zone on the map. Specifically, you want to enter the Southern part of the building.
Once inside, there'll be a room of computer banks behind the entrance lobby. In there, you'll find a terminal you can interact with to start up the security center.

Arrival Building Data Office location
The final objective to Waking the Grid is to search for any traces of a security breach in the Arrival Building Data Office. Fortunately, the Arrival Building is just North of the Departure building, so it's not a long journey to reach it.
Once you get there, approach it from the West side and breach open the sealed door to find the room you need. There'll be a bank of screens that are showing some sort of symbol, just interact with those to "cut the wires" and complete the quest!
Waking the Grid rewards
After you extract back to Speranza, talk to Shani to complete the quest. You'll get an Epic Tactical Mk.3 Revival Augment, three Vita Shots , and five Surge Shield Rechargers, which will set you up nicely for future expeditions where you want to be more durable and better at healing.
