Master weapon manufacturing and logistics in WW2 strategy game Firearms Factory, coming to Steam Early Access this year
War, war never changes
Firearms Factory is a World War 2-themed strategy game that places you in charge of a humble production facility that is forced to turn its attention to weapons manufacturing, and it's scheduled to come to Steam Early Access this year.
The game's appearance during FGS Live From GDC offers a taste of what it's all about, but we'll go into more detail here. The main challenge you'll face here is management: balancing weapons production, logistics, and defense. If that wasn't enough, you'll also need to provide supply support to the front lines while advancing the march towards nuclear weapon development.

And if that wasn't enough, you'll also have to face the consequences and weight of your actions. Heavy, heavy stuff.
Here's the Steam blurb: "Your factory, once producing sweets for children, has been transformed by government order into a weapons facility at the height of total war. Now, you carry a crucial responsibility. With the uranium mines under Nazi control following the occupation of Czechoslovakia, an unprecedented power awaits to be unleashed — and your humble workshop may become the birthplace of the atomic bomb."
Firearms Factory is currently due to hit Steam Early Access later this year. Why? As per developer Triplex Terminal, "Your precious ideas, the bugs, and problems you see and report to us will be helping us for real and with this, they’ll be the leading factor in shaping our game."
It sounds like the Early Access timeline won't be super long either, as Triplex Terminal currently forecasts a 12-month run once everything is launched.
