This online co-op clean-'em-up lets you contribute to real environmental projects, and there's a Steam demo you can check out right now
Clean Up Earth is all about working together to restore nature
Clean Up Earth gets a new gameplay trailer at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase Powered by HyperX, providing a peek at its expansive online co-op play and how coordinated cleanups will work.
The environmental restoration game from French studio Magic Pockets has a demo on Steam right now, letting you try out hoovering up junk in various polluted locales ahead of the game's PC launch. Playing solo is an option, but you can also invite up to eight chums to join you in your cleanup efforts or even join shared maps for up to 25 players for much more coordinated and efficient projects.
Together, you'll need to use your Terra Cleaners to gather litter and waste and rebuild terrain, letting life return to the once barren environment as new plants spring up out of the ground. Junk can also be recycled for in-game rewards and materials that you might need to repair useful structures already on the island, and you can even uncover ancient artifacts, making for a peaceful and rewarding exploration game.
But the most impressive part about Clean Up Earth is that your in-game efforts can financially contribute to real-world restoration efforts at no additional cost through an integrated environmental fund. In short, you pick a real partner organization to represent in the game, then working together in larger online sessions can help you build up micro-donations for different environmental initiatives – and this is at no additional cost to the player.
Clean Up Earth doesn’t yet have an exact release date but should launch on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in April 2026, with release dates for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 coming at some point after. To keep up with latest on when you can play, make sure you follow @CUE_game and add it to your Steam wishlist.
