In under a year and a half, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is over halfway to beating its predecessor's sales as it hits 6 million copies sold
Warhorse calls it "an achievement we couldn't have reached alone"
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sold over six million copies in just over a year, meaning the massive RPG is already over halfway to beating its predecessor's sales.
While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 became a behemoth that eclipsed every game when it came to award season last year, at the start of 2025, it really felt like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was the frontrunner for game of the year. The massive RPG got rave reviews and – perhaps more crucially – one of the most impassioned fanbases of any game in 2025. So much so, the game managed to sell three million copies in three months.
Warhorse Studios announces on Twitter that now – a year and four months removed from launch – that number has now doubled, with six million copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 now sold. "6 million Henrys. An achievement we couldn't have reached alone," the post reads, adding: "Thank you for being a part of this community, we're excited to have you with us on the adventure!"
Crucially, this places the game at over halfway to beating the impressive sales numbers of the original. Kingdom Come: Deliverance released back in 2018, and Warhorse Studios confirmed last year that the game had sold over 10 million copies in the then-seven years it was out.
The studio has also confirmed it's working on a "new Kingdom Come adventure," which it announced alongside confirming rumors that it is working on a new open-world Lord of the Rings RPG. With the fanbase Kingdom Come has amassed mixed with the massive Tolkien fandom, I can only foresee it being huge when it does release.
