Fellowship is "all dungeons, all the time" – and you can play the RPG when it launches in Early Access in October
It's all the joys of hitting an MMO dungeon without the grind
If you've ever fancied trying the joys of an MMO dungeon without the grind or World of Warcraft subscription fee, Fellowship is heading into Early Access in October.
That comes from a new trailer shown at Future Games Show at gamescom, which kicks off with a few shots of "an ancient realm, filled with magic and unspeakable horrors." Of course, "unspeakable horrors" means some good loot when it comes to MMOs, and that's the case here, too. Fellowship is a "place for warriors" that's "all dungeons, all the time."

The rest of the trailer teases the gameplay, showcasing various tanks, mages, and assassin archetypes getting to work by flattening enemies in pursuit of precious loot. As we come to a close, we get the news that Fellowship launches in Early Access on October 9.
If you've been out of the loop, Fellowship makes pillaging MMO dungeons more accessible. Rather than levelling up a character, going through story quests, and more before you hit some bads, here you cut to the chase by picking a character and getting to work. At the time of writing, there are two tanks, healers, and DPS characters for you to try.
That's not to say Fellowship doesn't come with the RPG elements, you still level up and unlock new abilities – all while looting some bosses for some cool new gear. You've also got plenty of replayability, as dungeons get more difficult as you level up. Alongside tougher bads, expect seasonal updates, dungeon modifiers, and new features to keep things fresh.
Fellowship releases in Early Access on October 9.

I joined GamesRadar+ in May 2022 following stints at PCGamesN and PocketGamer.Biz, with some freelance for Kotaku UK, RockPaperShotgun, and VG24/7 thrown in for good measure. When I'm not running the news team on the games side, you'll find me putting News Editor duties to one side to play the hottest JRPG of 20 years ago or pillaging the depths of Final Fantasy 14 for a swanky new cloak – the more colourful, the better.
