Use past memories to develop your character and defeat enemies in the otherworldly Shape of Dreams

In Shape of Dreams, the divide between the dream world and reality has collapsed, allowing access through dimensional rifts to a middle ground known as The Rapids. Untold rewards are rumored to be found at the end of this realm, so brave heroes step forth to seek them out. As exclusively revealed at the Future Games Show gamescom showcase, you'll soon be able to take up this search when the game launches on September 11, 2025.

Shape of Dreams combines fast-paced and vivid roguelike action with MOBA-style controls, allowing you to string together combat moves fluidly as you battle through wave after wave of enemies. The stakes are high, but defeat is never the end as you're always learning new Memories as you progress.

These past Memories carry over to subsequent playthroughs, where they can be edited and reworked to create a completely unique character for yourself. Strange gems you collect called Essence can be attached to these Memories, so you can access special effects and develop creative synergies to unlock builds that perfectly match your playstyle.

The Rapids is a procedurally generated world, and as you push forward you'll encounter other dream dwellers, initiate quests, and trigger events as you search for the deeply buried secrets, meaning that no two runs will be alike. While you can get the complete experience in single-player, the game also offers up to four player co-operative multiplayer so you can heal, buff, and support each other on your journey.

Shape of Dreams releases for PC via Steam on September 11, 2025, but you can wishlist it now on Steam to stay up to date and also download the demo while you're there to try it out for yourself.
