Another hotfix has been deployed for Crimson Desert, addressing an array of issues in the open-world fantasy adventure. While players are glad to see Pearl Abyss tending to the game's problems, some think that it's about time the devs had a break.
The changes in this patch are all decidedly small, but they fix issues that are definitely irksome. One addresses a problem where the game would change your difficulty if you started a new save with another ongoing campaign, while another makes sure font size alterations are applied as quickly as possible game-wide.
Two particularly odd ones that stand out to me are that horse gear couldn't be dyed, and non-pet animals would take on a different name after you changed the name of a pet. I can understand discovering the former, if you were really looking forward to improving your equestrian aesthetic, but I do wonder how the latter was found, and what those bug reports must've looked like.
Article continues belowA couple of changes from a previous patch are highlighted, including an alteration to make Kliff slightly faster, confirming suspicions from a few players who thought something was off. "I was wondering why I felt so damn fast yesterday," says one commenter.
With patches like this coming out at such a speedy pace, many are thankful for the devs' hard work, but fans also want to remind the team that they deserve to take breaks, too. "Pearl Abyss, rest is allowed," states one Redditor.
There's a bit of back and forth here, with some seeing this efficiency, and others preferring slower changes if it allows workers more room to breathe. After all, there are more important things in the world than in-game horse fashion.
