Baldur's Gate 3 Astarion actor Neil Newbon is also in Crimson Desert, which he calls "really impressive" and says players "just have to deal with" choice overload
He'd know, given his time in the Forgotten Realms
You know a game is big when even the people who made it think you're spoilt for choice in your options. A voice actor involved in Crimson Desert has no sympathy for anyone paralyzed by what to do next, he simply believes you've got to dive in and just start making moves around Pywel.
Neil Newbon, the man behind the fantasy adventure's protagonist Kliff, was asked about how overwhelming Crimson Desert is in an interview with Honest Game Trailers. "There is too many choices. You're just going to have to deal with it," he responds. "So much you can do in that game."
His interview partner, Devora Wilde, then asks if there's more choices than in Baldur's Gate 3, a release they both contributed to. Newbon doesn't directly compare the two – when you're talking about games offering hundreds of hours of quests, it's hard to quantify which is bigger – but he does talk up how jam-packed Crimson Desert is.

It truly is a magnificent achievement. Exploring Pywel uncovers all sorts of oddities and strange paths for you to follow, and there are many, many ways to approach the combat. You can even create tornadoes as your central offensive move, if you so choose.
It's the kind of game you'll pour hours upon hours into, and can still find nooks and crannies Pearl Abyss left for people to stumble onto. If you've rinsed Baldur's Gate 3, and need something to absorb you while we wait for Larian's new Divinity, Crimson Desert might be the ticket. There's a train for you to try and stop and all!
