Development is intensifying for Soulframe, the fantasy MMO from Warframe developer Digital Extremes. Another Soulframe Preludes update has been released, the 12th so far, and players now have an option to expand their involvement in the burgeoning fantasy epic.

The new Soulframe Preludes goodies include a weapon grip called the Greatsword, some new Runes and Totems to discover in the environment, a "mysterious" vendor named Zenith, and fresh side-quests known as Siege Encounters. But while these are fine and dandy, the really exciting part is the Soulframe Founders option.

Essentially, players can now buy one of three archetypes - knight, archer, and mage - each built around a different class, with exclusive items and equipment, and two invites for the game. Your name is added to the Eternium Garden, and you get access to a Warframe crossover skin. One of these founder packs costs £24.99, with an option to buy all three and get a special greatword, more in-game currency, and four extra invite codes (on top of the combined six from the three builds) for £84.99.

Right now, Soulframe is still in pre-alpha. Bearing resemblance to Warframe, this MMORPG is more fantastical, involving magic and archery, and it has you take on an Envoy to join in ridding the world of Midrath from an oncoming blight.

"Soulframe Founders is us planting some of our biggest roots yet for the future," Geoff Crookes, creative director at Digital Extremes said in a statement. "We've now reached the phase of development where we can welcome people in to help turn those roots into a solid foundation and build something we've all been waiting and hoping for from the ground up."
