It's a massive military battlefield where cash is king
Wardogs, the upcoming online military FPS multiplayer game from Team17 and developer Bulkhead, just got a brand new trailer as part of the Future Games Show, and so far it's looking like everything that gaming combat veterans should love.
A tactical FPS that breaks a server of 100 players into three teams competing for huge control zones a la King of the Hill, Wardogs is clearly going for a hands-off vibe, with a huge sandbox map to commit war in, alongside destructible environments that allow you to blast through and reshape whole cityscapes, whether by accident or intention. With the trailer showing off choppers, tanks, trucks, sledgehammers, rockets and more besides, I've no doubt that a dedicated team could be sitting on a pile of smoking rubble that used to be a peace summit embassy within moments.

Release date: September 10, 2026
Wardogs is a warfare FPS where 100 players split across three teams fight over a control zone set on a destructible battlefield where cash is everything.
More notably is the emphasis that Wardogs has on the idea that "cash is king", and their touted money metagame, in which players earn in-game money in matches, then use it to buy better weapons and vehicles, with that cash carrying over between matches. So presumably this means you can save up and splurge on some utterly deadly killing tools. Treat yourself to something nice - like a pile of C4.
Finally, the other thing that players might want to take note of is the emphasis on tactical teamwork, along with a proximity voice chat system that means nearby players will hear your panicked screaming. Speaking personally, I'm a huge fan of local voice chat in pretty much everything it appears in, whether it's the puzzled pondering in Big Walk, or the frightened screams in Dead by Daylight.
If all that intrigues you, Wardogs is going to early access on Steam on September 10, 2026, with planned releases for Xbox and PS5 in the future, and an additional Supporter Pack DLC that players can buy for additional weapon and vehicle camos and cosmetics. If you want to know more, you can follow the development on the game on its official social media channels, specifically via X, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
