Overwatch fans think a RuPaul's Drag Race winner and Doctor Who star is teasing another new hero: "I'm immediately maining them"

In what would be one of the most unexpected but perfectly fitting crossovers in the entire series, Overwatch fans are convinced that two-time RuPaul's Drag Race winner Hera Lilith Hoffer – better known by their drag name Jinkx Monsoon – is being put to werk on one of the game's upcoming heroes.

The online speculation went berserk after Monsoon tweeted a picture of themself standing in what seems to be Blizzard HQ, posing next to an Overwatch sign with a devil horn gesture. Blizzard itself chimed in with a cryptic tease, commenting, "We can feel the love coming in from the Monsoon winds." This comes eight whole years after Monsoon publicly asked the Overwatch devs to let them voice a character.

"If Jinkx voices an Overwatch character I'm IMMEDIATELY maining them alongside Jetpack Cat," one fan tweets on social media.

"Jinkx would EAT an OW voice acting role, especially if it's something suitably unhinged," another gushes. "I'm picturing a manic femme omnic. I'd play the HELL out of them just to hear her!"

Jinkx Monsoon can, of course, do more than just lip sync for her life. Since winning the competition, they've landed roles as a Doctor Who villain and Emerald in Steven Universe, two small parts that show they've got some serious acting chops. And with a cast as colorful and queer as Overwatch's – where bodybuilders, cat assassins, cyborg ninjas and water-benders live alongside each other – adding a drag queen or, at least, a character voiced by a drag queen, is a no-brainer.

Blizzard dropped five new heroes into Overwatch earlier this month and promised five more still to come sometime later this year, kicking off a massive resurgence for the evergreen hero shooter. It's entirely possible Monsoon is voicing one of the still blacked-out silhouette in the headline image, though my money's on the slick robotic character to the far left. They're giving appropriate levels of sass.

Overwatch's evil faction suffers a huge blow in a new Helldivers 2-style event, and it's all thanks to the Jetpack Cat cosmetics tempting everyone to switch sides
